I've been told the stock pump is in the neighborhood of 700 psi. There shouldn't be anything wrong with running higher pressure as long as your lines can handle it. Most farm equipment rams are rated around 3000 psi or more, so you wont over pressure it.
Sorry Beezil,I just followed last weeks thread to this link and did some reading(you never know)!They had several pumps/rams and talked about flow requirements.
