Just wondering what size bore is on a 4.0 liter throttle body. Did they use the same throttle bodies on the 2.5liter?

52mm is smaller than the standard 4.0L throttle body.
standard 4.0L starts at 60mm and tapers down to 56mm below the butterfly.

Machine shop, or use a honing tool to do it yourself(it will take a long while though).

I took mine to work, chucked it up in the lathe and bored it out.only took the taper out.Made a spacer too, matched it to the gasket size.

Would be better to use a lathe or one of those mills with the rotation table?

It can be done with an electric drill, too, as done in a mod somewhere on the internet. I saved the page but the link is gone.
Buying another online is also possible - your core body can be shipped after to reduce the price and keep you running. Turbo city is mentioned on the page.
The mod is performed under the throttle blade, removing the taper with a drum sander in an appropriate size. Some disassembly is required. Gojeep has a writeup on his website , too.
No, I don't know why I haven't done it yet . . .
