about a month ago i started a thread on here telling people i am headed to wichita falls tx on september 11th to go to advanced course training at sheppard afb for my job..


i was asking if anyone lived in wichita falls and if they did...could they direct me to local wheelin places cause i havent been "really" whellin since i moved to kansas......a lil here and there but nothing to really speak about.....and plus im a lil rusty and thought...what the hell maybe i can knock out some baby trails and get back into it..

someone says...."Hey you should get up with extankerguy, he lives around there" well i never got a chance too until last week

i got down here last sunday and me and my buddy are out running around this lil town of wichita falls and deceide to go to sears at the mall to just have something to do.....when we come out there is this beast of an xj sittin by the door....close to where i parked and there is a guy standing next too it....so

i say..."is that yours?...nice jeep man" he says yep..is that yours?.....sadly *since mine is a POS..lol* i said yes and find out HE is extankerguy and HE is also either retired or in the AF cause he has a base sticker.....

i just thought it was crazy......so we talked jeeps a bit and he hands me his card and tells me some places to go wheel so me and my buddy are headed out soon to check it all out...

long story...but thought it should be shared......it was just sooooo cooooo to meet a guy from the forum.

im sure my NAXJA sticker helped too though..lol...

alrighty...just passed the guy on base today on the way back to the hotel from school he was all honkin and stuff....saw his rank..

seems to be a chief.......by far the coolest cheif i have met in the af so far.....just stood around and bs'd with us about off roading......anyone who does that is all right in my book..lol


only problem is he has the same lift as me and is running 33s...sooooo now i want 33s....

i need to regear though and thats something that scares the hell outta me seeing i have never done it before..

I was down there 3 years ago for 7 Lvl school, I ended out in this place called buffolo lake I think, I cant remeber, there where some rocks out there to play on and stuff.. There is a rock shop on Indiana Ave and they can tell you how to get out there

Hell I just drove back threw that area back in Aug when I drove from Lackland to Spokan Wa for SERE school
