I need a few helpers for a few things in Moab.

First I need some people who can help out with trail signup. I need a few people who has decent knowledge of the trails that can be at the Registration tables in the mornings and evenings at Slickrock.

Also we need help in a huge way for the dinner on Friday night. Feeding a 100+ people is not an easy endeavor for just a couple of people.

So...if you can help please post up. Lets show the rest of NAXJA what the IC can do.

This one is really tough. Sit around shoot the bull and answer these questions:
1) Where is the trail signup? Answer: here
2) What trails are on X day? Answer: show them the trails list
3) What is X trail like? Answer: great
4) How many people are signed up for X. Answer: Let's check the signup sheet

You will not have to cook. We may not want you to cook! :gag:
We need help with setup (tables/chairs/etc) and serving.

I'm willing to do what I can, but I have a very active, and very curious 2.5 year old that I'll be watching by myself for likely the entire week. If somebody wants to watch my kid while I help I could do whatever.

please dont think im being mean here, but how about a child leash. some think they are the worst thing in the world, but my theory is that if it keeps your child from wandering off, hiding from you, getting taken etc then its a great thing.

A LEASH?!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK HE IS - A DOG?!

Actually, I'm fine with that idea. Though, i was hoping for something more like an invisible fence and a shock collar.

when i had to work the air show up on the base this last summer (when i was supposed to be getting medicaly discharged and was forced to work loosing 4 days of leave) i truely learned the value of the child leashes. some of the "found" kids whom had lost thier parents could not give us any useful information to help them find their parents. one little boy about 5 or 6 years old was so upset he could not give me his name at first. we finaly found his grandmother and aunt .5 miles away on the other side of the flight line completely unaware he was gone for the last 1/2 hour. if only i knew how many lost kids/parents we had all weekend.

another idea that a fire fighter gave me was to give the kid a card with important info- his/her name, age, parents name (or responsible party), contact # and maybe even an emergency meeting place if sperated. also put any important medical info on there. teach the kid to give the card to a reponcible adult (cop, fire fighter, EMT, or security) if lost. this theory works when in an area with large groups like disney land etc.

I'll be down Thursday night and will plan on KP duty at the raffle dinner like last year. Due to my busy summer, I'm still sporting a stocker, so I'm not sure what trails I'll run.....maybe Porky Rim on Friday and Hell's Revenge on Sat.

I can handle the no jeep thing, but remember it is MY jeep. And maybe if I ask nicely someone will take me on one of the trail rides, seeing as I cant get my jeep out there.

I'll be there on wed. afternoon thru sunday so I can help. I'll also have one son and one grandson that will help too. I'm leaving Logan wed. at 6:00 am with 3- 4x4's to play on the trails. We don't have any passengers or co-pilots in these 4x4's so if anyone wants to ride along we have room. Jerry

Looks like I'm gonna sit out this years fall fling. Gotta save some time off for the SEMA show in Vegas in Nov, plus junior is a little on the young side for 'wheeling on this trip.
...I know, I know, everyone thinks he'll be just fine on the trails but I'm gonna wait 'till next year. :dunce:

You have first time new dad syndrome. :D
I think the little one would be fine. It would be the sanity of Mom and Dad :wow: worrying about it that would concern me.
