Anyone ever put rear 3-point belts in a xj 88 or later. I would like to get them for the kids.

You'd have to add some Tube work to the rear cargo area to do this porperly.. We will be doing a Cage party in the near future.. you are welcome to join in on the fun!!!

Yes, a relatively easy mod I did for the same reasons.

When you purchase the belts make sure you get the plastic piece that goes in the trim under the rear window. The hardest part is the upper shoulder bracket that is behind the sheet metal where you install the shoulder belt (above rear window). OEM is tack welded in, so you could cut/drill it out to reinstall in your vehicle. Other option is to fab two plates with belt bolt (make sure you get all bolts too) hole threaded and two mounting holes. I fabbed new plates from 1/4".

Other than that, all mounting holes pre-exist and installation is simple. Cut the lower window trim smaller than trim piece you got with belts and snap it in. Pay attention to belt compatability (some years slightly different), you may want to take the female end also.
