Shocks up or down?

Just installed some new Procomp es9000's in the front to replace my old shocks (same model just longer). Problem is the pins I had wouldn't fit if I put the body down and the rod up so I mounted them with the rod down. Now my heep will bounce 3 times before the shocks stop it. Did I make a BOO BOO?:shhh:

It depends on the design of the shocks, but if you're getting 3 bounces, I'd say the ES9000s don't like to be upside down

My shocks had a arrow that pointed to the top of shock.. So they are a one way mount from what i see.. Could be wrong
Didn't notice a arrow, but then again I didn't really look either:cry: Now It's dark I'll have to look in the AM

Either that or they just suck!! But the old ones I had worked fine.
Damn I hate doing things twice:twak:
