hey all

ordered a Super 44 and Super 30 kit from Rustys last monday, i have never had a problem with something they didnt make, just sold. spent $2400.00(ish). they said they had them in stock and i asked him to double check and he did. monday at noon i placed my order. dude said it would process Tuesday and ship Wednesday. I live in Atlanta and its like 3 1/2 hours to Rustys from here

Monday eve i get an email with a tracking number "billing info recieved" thats what it always says the first day, ok.

friday rolls around "billing info received" call rustys and a girl tells me it might have shipped thursday but if not it will go out today and claims that UPS sometimes doesnt scan the case til they are ready to drop it at your house.

Monday comes again and "billing info received" i called rustys and a guy tells me its perfectly normal for that to happen with large packages i should see it today or tomorrow. it might have shipped thursday or friday.

no package yet

wth?

If i was going to order something from them again, i'd drive the 3-4 hours and pick it up myself. They just seem to have severe shipping issues (see other thread on this page).

Do a search...this has been beaten to death (not trying to trivialize your case...i know how annoy that situation can be).

USE OUR SPONSERS INSTEAD!!

will do. i usually get their stuff second day since they are close. and shipping was only $40 for both kits together.

i was in a hurry since my gears are supposed to be getting installed tomorrow but look where that got me.....

yeah, i plan on calling in the mornin and i expect im gonna get the same BS. i have a feeling my tracking number is bogus since i doubt that miraculously a super 30 (arb) and a super 44 (detroit) both weigh 67 lbs.

ima raise some hell and either get my 2400$ back or get some chromoly

If you used a credit card, you can call the credit card company and basically stop the order. I'm not entirely sure how it's done, but you do have a recourse going that direction.

Also, I bought my Super 44 kit through Six States Distributors for under $1000.00 shipped to my door.

HTH.

paid $1040 for the super 44. like 1400 for the super 30

i did a split payment, didnt have enough on one card.
what if i try that then it does end up on my door step a few days later?

tried calling UPS customer service but its automated, i figure they are way to big to know off hand whats going on anyways

Find the number for the UPS distribution warehouse in Atlanta (i got the number for the Macon warehouse from a small UPS store). They should be able to tell you based off the tracking information what's up. I would make sure that it didn't ship before you cancel the payment. It's annoying..but it still has only been a week.

What is this I hear. Rustys shipping problems can't get a straight answer to your question? Get out of here he never does that. HAHAHAH!!!!!

X3 X4 or what ever it is now. I deal with UPS they scan that stuff before it even goes on there truck. I work with UPS fedex ground and express all day long everyday. If they pick up it doesn't touch the truck tell scanned in. If they have the UPS setup at rustys like most small buisness places do it when they get on it and setup a pick up it will print out a tracking # when they come to pick it up they have this clipboard pc thing and they scan it and put it on the truck. If they show up and it doesn't have that tag on it or they weren't dispatched with a tag for the box they won't take it. NO ifs ands or buts about it.

Typical rusty work right there.

I think he was trying to explain that most companies print the labels themselves (which contain the tracking numbers) before UPS ever sees the items. When you have a valid tracking number that is not yet showing in UPS's system, it generally means that the shipper has printed the label, but has not physically given the item to UPS...
You see this all the time with a company who has a set pick-up time with UPS. You can get a tracking number early in the morning, but it won't be in UPS's system until after UPS truck picks up. If that happens for more than one day, usually means the shipper (read Rusty's) screwed something up!

Here is the skinny: "billing info received" means that Rusty's has created a label and filled in a form. When the box is actually picked up by UPS it will appear online very quickly. When Rusty tells you that the UPS system will update soon, HE IS LYING!

See thread:

I hope you have better luck than I did.

called them a few times today bitchin, was on hold for a few mins while they were like oh shit what excuse do i use this time, oh it shipped friday, should be there tomorrow. thats what i been hearin all week...

....whadda ya know....now the UPS tracking number says IN TRANSIT: origin scan on Sept 19....Hmmmm...they finally threw it on the truck today.

i have never seen a UPS guy pick up a package and not scan it. they always scan it and type in my name when i ship somethin from work.

dennis is right, if they say that UPS hasnt updated the system and/or not scanned it yet theyre lying...
