you need it installed? or you need the axle? i can help you on the install but not on the axle, and there is no bolt in d-44, i need more of an idea of what you are looking to do before i can point you in the right direction

Well see I have a 93 xj with the rustys 8 inch lift, and i have 35-12.50's on it! I have stock axles on the jeep and i decided i needed some more beef under there! I have a ford 9 inch for the rear and it already has 4.88 gears in it! So i decided I wanted to use it, so I need a front axle now and I thought I needed a dana 44, but im not very educated yet since it is my first off roader. And the jeep is my daily driver so with 4.88 gears would it still allow me to drive 80 mph sometimes? thanks

I hate to be the one to say this, and the guys I ride with will be shocked at this coming from me, but....8 inches and 35's shouldn't go 80. With that said, I'm no gear expert but to my understanding deeper gears make the rpm's higher...so 80 would probably put you near the red with 4.88. I'm not sure of that...Doug should know for sure. Either way good luck and be careful!

4.88's will be perfect for the highway, with 35's it will feel like driving stock with 31's. as far as the 44 goes go to the modtech section and at the top of the page go the dana 44 tech page written by crash, pay close attention to the section regarding for high pinion 44's out of ford f-150's its really the only axle worth pairing with the 9 inch pay close attention to the years with the welded on mounts they are the most desirable, if you end up with a stock one i know a good fabricator who can bracket it up for you for a very good price, and we could probably swing a gear and locker install too, i have the tools to do it properly, hope this helps and if you need help getting the rear in cause that needs fab work too just shoot me a pm i'll try my best to help
x2 on what joe said too 35 with 8 inches is a little big but i've seen it work well before on the trail

You need to find a High Pinion 44 out of a late 70's ford.
I don't know of any that came stock with 4.88s in it so plan on a regear, bracketry, and a new set of rims.

So I need a dana 44 out of a ford f150? Should I get one out of a junk yard or what? Once again thanks for your time and sorry I am inexperienced in this stuff! One of my buds was talking about getting a 5th link in the rear, because I just had a shock and 2 u-bolts to break! I am not quite sure what that is! so what is it?

NO! That is out of a leaf sprung F250. It will be hard to get the drivers side CA mount in the small space there. Your best bet is either a F100 or F150 from say 74-77 IIRC.
