Bad fan clutch?

Get the engine to normal operating temperature, shut it down and move the fan by hand. There should be a good amount of resistance. If there isn't, it's probably bad. If you check how freely it spins before starting the engine, you'll notice a great difference to when it gets hot. Mine happened to spin very freely and was shot. The aftermarket one I bought was a lot heavier duty than my stock one.
