simple brake booster question

I have a new 95/96 xj brakebooster and a new master cylinder assembly ready to go in my 92xj.

The new booster didn't come with a seal or 1/4" spacer. I know I can make the seal out of foam.

Will my existing booster have the spacer? Or do I have to cut up some sheet metal and make my own.

The spacer is about 1/4" thick if I recall correctly. Time for a trip to the junkyard, although I suppose you could use tubing type spacers. I think you may need the peddle assembly too (I did for my 89 when I swapped in the bigger one)

Get 4 spacers from lowes and some foam. Cut the foam so it will fill the gap made by the spacers.

Yeah I got foam already to make the seal. I may just take a piece of 1/4" steel stock and drill the holes in it and use that.

to do the swap it must be spaced out 1/4 of an inch from the firewall. I used large diameter washers to help spread the load.
