so i was looking for a tranny leak today that started about a month ago (right after my lift) it is leaking from the tranny cooler lines up by the radiator, but when i check the fluid level it is fine. i checked transfer case and it is empty. (there is fluid on crossmember which i thought to be blow back). are the two not seperate from each other if so where should i be looking to find the transfer case leak? the back side of tc is dry.
it is a 91 xj, 4.0l h.o., auto, 231 tc, 8.25 rear, 200,00 miles.
thanks in advance buster

I would check the seal between the trans. & the transfer case. JIM.

Spray that area down with brake cleaner. Refill x-fer case & go for a drive. Should be able to pin-point leak. I would think there are only 4 possible places for a leak. Between the trans. & x-fer case--between the case halves--and the front & rear output seals. Check all 4. JIM.
