**NON XJ** (2003 Grand)

I just (had to) get a new DD so I got a kickin deal on a 2003 Grand laredo, fully loaded, 38k miles for 12k, no problems at all, it's just been sitting on the lot for a little while. So... I'm looking for a good place to find info and what-not about this little gem... My beloved xj is still here, just not with me, it's at home 500 miles away. :bawl:

NAGCA has crap for info on WJs and their serach function blows, JU is more useful as far as tech goes.

I too just picked up a WJ, and have had a hard time finding a similar site like NAXJA. I just finished putting an FIPK on and that makes a huge difference.

Do you have the 4.7 or 4.0?

I have the 4.0. There was a 4.7 available but it was way much more than this one, 10k more miles and 1) didn't feel like spendin that much MORE money.. 2) gas sucked big time.

I have a 04 WJ and LOVE IT! I use it for everything. I have towed all kinds of things with it too. The 4.7 is not that much harder on gas than a 4.0l. I drove the 4.0 before deciding on the 4.7 the difference in power is night and day. They are awesome vehicles. There have been a few companies that have came out with very nice lifts for the WJ in the last few months as well. Check out BDS and Rocky-roads' new lifts. I am really leaving towards the RR lift for the HD coils. They will come in handy for pulling my 4000# trailer. Enjoy your new Jeep.

I drove the 4.7 and the 4.0, and while I liked the extra power of the 8, I just like the 4.0L for reliability, and I already know the engine.

My next mod is the Aadco sways, rear first, then possibly the front, and then I will be good for a while.
