If I put a manual reverse light switch in my XJ will it pass North Carolina vehicle inspection?

How well can you keep it hidden? Do they check for the light function when you are in the seat or not?

Not sure about you but I'm glad i live in Indiana. Never seen a Vehicle get inspected in my life!

Instead of wiring in a complete manual switch so the lights can only be activated by the switch why not wire in an override switch so they will work like normal until you flip the switch?

I called an inspection station and they told me they don't even check the reverse lights so as long as they don't come on in a forward gear I'm good.

switch is nice to have especially with aurora reverse lights, they come in handy for more than just backing up
