what year/model jeeps came with a cast aluminum valve cover? Mine is cast and there are 2 pcv vents and a filler cap on it. Im trying to find the rubber grommets for the pcv holes and the thin metal shield that mounts under them, but its not in the parts diagram for my 88. or if anyone knows the part numbers for these it would be very helpful. thanks

I believe only 87/90 have the cast aluminum valve covers. I don't know of any differences between the years. After the AMC/Renix years they are stamped steel. Renix stuff is hard to find.

My front one "dissolved" ('88). I ended up getting a generic grommet that fit the hole and a plastic elbow fitting that fit the grommet on one end, and was just big enough to slide in the tube from the airbox (well the coupler).
