Length of RE Hack-n-Tap SYEs

Is there a length difference between the hack-n-tap for the early transfer cases versus the later transfer cases?

I'm specifically wondering about the RE1801 for 96 and down

versus

RE1807 for 97 and up.

Does one end up giving you a shorter drivetrain versus the other? Need to buy a new transfer case and if one gives the possibility for a longer shaft I'll go that way. I don't care about the $90 difference in price.

i would think the output shafts are the same length, as are the transfer cases them selves. so no, i dont think there is a difference with an SYE. theyre only different because the RE 1801 requires you to remove the tailshaft housing and seal the case, whereas the 96+ cases come without that extended housing and are already sealed.
