Definitely a nice looking rig. I really wish I had the time and money to drop a V8 in the XJ, A rebuilt 302 would be nice :)

Early Wagoneers (1984 - 1986) could be found with only two headlamps, it was quite common actually. It does look like he swapped the tail lamps to Cherokee spec (they did tend to have all red tail lamps) and the 21 slot grill for the Cherokee standard 10 slot of 1984 - 1987.

Note that this is only what it appears to be; in the AMC owned early days of the XJ it wasn't uncommon for just about anything to be on a Jeep; I'm quite sure they just grabbed whatever was handy at the factory. :cheers:
