Torque convert lock up

How do you tell if a torque converter is locking up on the highway like it is supposed to?

above 45 mph while keeping your right foot on the gas pedal gently press the brake pedal you should feel it come out of o.d. as well as see it on your tach ,the rpms will rise some and youll feel it shift back up when you take your foot off the brake also you should be around 2000 rpms between60-65 unless you have big tires

Dont' have a RPM guage :-(

Listen to the engine. You'll hear the RPMs jump up when you tap the brake, it'll sound and feel like you're tapping a clutch pedal.
