Is it normal to remove and not re-use the rear sway bar on a RE 4.5" super-flex lift??? Thats what the directions say, but sounds UN safe???

Yes. The rear sway bar doesn't make a noticeable difference under most circumstances.

Absolutely! Most of us run with no rear sway-bar.


I have ran without one for 5 years with no negative impact!

If you use your Jeep for towing that would be the only consideration for keeping in on, but guys like JohnX have towed lite utility trailers without any problems.

I used to have sway bars. Body rolls a little you get use to it.

whos is an up country?

i had a RSB...remember? you told me to use the sway bar ends as a bar pin eliminator for my rear shocks, which i did when i got the re monotubes.

Well I got the rear part of the lift installed. Now to start in on the front.

Yeah they can only go in one way, You want the rez down low. How are yours?

Yeah mine came with the bowtie mount installed so they can only go in one way.

my bar pin wasnt pressed in, i figured that meant mount it however you want...

You know the whole thing about that "mod" is that you're changing the axis on which the shock pivots 90 degrees.

Granted, the range of motion is not all that much. But it's enough to wear the bushings prematurely.

Get some "real" bar pin eliminators.
