the super heep likes to idle between 900-1000 rpm, while i dont mind this for winter warm up, its annoying, about 99.9% of the time it idles at 1000, and every once in awhile it idles down to the normal 600 rpm or so, whats sticking/broken?????ideas???1990 cherokee pioneer 4.0 automatic

i would just lower the idle, and see if that works.
u can lower the idle bu using a llen key on the right side of TB.

i had the same prob, search for high idle speed post by me. there are links to some stuff that worked for me. i would post it, but i dont know how

it sounds like a sticking iac.

I wouldn't adj. the idle until you rule out some other things. Check the IAC first also do a TPS test, although they usually idle much higher than that if TPS is out of adj or bad.
