The fires are far from me.

We did have fires really close to our house a few yrs ago here... I thought my house was going down!

Yeah the one up by the casino. At 1 mph hr and about 2 miles away I was sccccccccccuuuuuurrrred! haha

Something near my office is burning... but by the time it gets close I'd be looong gone :D

weather is pretty bad here. Cars are covered in ash, pool is all ash and the winds are picking up. The porter ranch fire is 10min north of me. Just getting the nasty wind push thats making it hard to breathe.

I live a few miles east of the Sylmar fire. No smokes or ashes here, because of the wind direction. My home's backyard is a war zone from last night's strong winds. I heard the wind was clocked close to 75 mph at times.

The 210 and 118 freeways are a different story. My wife just called and warned me to stay away from the freeways. Apparently all the surrounding streets are jam packed to.

just got a call from a friend saying the base is on fire again, walked outside to roll my windows up on my car.....

Im here! but there was a fire a mile or 2 away from me in Newport Beach, burned 3 homes but luckily that was it.

Yeah, I can see the smoke from my place. It's all over the local news. Big wall of fire right at the entrance. It's real close to some housing.

my g/f's neighborhood in porter ranch is under evacuation. Her, her aunt, 3 cousins and 3 BIG dogs are at my place right now... my pug is pissed!... lol..

we were getting her out a few hours ago... they said they wont know anything till tomorrow.
