Reiter camping/ cleanup picture thread.

Post up your pictures from this weekend guys, these are the ones that either my buddy Kyle or I took.

Overall it was a great weekend, the trails were nice and sloppy. Rhinoland still remains my favorite trail at Reiter and I think we ran it 3 times this weekend.

Here are a few pictures from our first half run of Rhinoland. We had Horus and Vinny from PNW accompanying Supsa and Myself.

After we ran that we headed back to camp for dinner and while we were sitting around the fire we had a guest appear and ask us for some help. :shhh:

We piled in our jeeps and headed up the powerlines to find this.....

That's what Ben got for letting his girlfriend drive for the first time, she was a little shook up over the incident. Maybe we can let her be our next chapter president.:dunno:

They both were extremely lucky that neither were injured in the roll, and also that the roll was stopped by the mound of sand. If they had missed that it would have been a hundred feet down a hill.

Here are a few videos I shot of the recovery, it took two winches to keep the YJ stable while we were righting it.

The only damage to the YJ was a bent hood and a cracked winshield. We were able to pull the plugs, clean them of oil and fire the engine right up.

More to come.

Sunday morning we headed down to the main lot to meet up with some more guys who had just come up for the cleanup. We started by picking up the lower powerline trails with Myself, Rooneypower, Reson46 and Muddy Beast. There was not much trash to be found except for the 20+ tires that we drug up off the hilside back onto the trail for pickup. I didnt get any pictures here but maybe some of the other guys did. I will say though that Reiter is looking a lot cleaner now then it was a year ago. I see less and less trash everytime we head up there.

After we finished on the powerlines we headed up Rhinoland since Willy (reson46) had never been up to Reiter.

This hill climb gets tougher and tougher everyday, I was able to crawl it on saturday. Pretty much by dumb luck and alot of skinny pedal, but was unable to get it on sunday. Willy was able to winch himself through tough, those highspeed warn winches are nice.:yelclap:

After that we headed back up to where the YJ had flopped the day before.

Nice little 3 wheeling action up there. I seem to be doing that more and more now.

After lunch we decided to head out to Sac Up to play around a little.

Someone on 31's thought it would be a good idea to try to climb that rock, I was pulling them off 30 seconds after I told them that it would not end well. :looser:

Is this the same person on 31s who doesn't listen to anybody?

-----Matt-----

Ouch.

P.S. Alex, It's only fair you had to make a tug on me...after I pulled you out last time at Reiter!

Other than this rock, I thought he did a pretty good job. There were several spots where I thought he might get hung up, but when I looked back he was still right behind me.

LOL! It was when I bought it. I've done my best to remedy that affliction.

It was a beautiful day for wheeling. The weather was great and the sun was out the whole time we were on the trail.

A few of my pics. Rest are here.

Does Alex realize you are supposed to go around the trees?

Somebody wasn't listening to his spotter...right in front of the sheriff.

After Alex and Scott left, Keil and I stuck around for a couple more trails. We heard that the Index Wall trail was closed, but we checked it out anyway. I'm glad we did. It was open clear to the cable fence. The view was incredible.

Well we all know what happens when Alex spots you...:shhh:
Dang it Willy, way to make me feel sad for leaving early!

hah
If I hadn't aired back up already I probably would have stuck around.

~Scott

where is Reiter? and is there a trail map available? I want to go up on the 7th possibly.

I saved a legit trail map...I can't remember it's dimmensions or where I got it, but it's too big to print on normal paper though.

Shoot me your email and I'll send it to you.

Let me know if ya need a guide. I you dont the trails hide and its easy to drive right past them

That was my bad! :gee: I told him to hug the tree with passenger tire and of course Alex has to floor it...

As for sticking around when Alex and Scott left, I had a great time plunking around with you Willy. It was a real fun time! No one to hold us up:fuse: and smooth sailing...

Was a pleasure to meet ya!

wow, thats a distance from here, I think Naches would be alot closer. witch is bigger?

Naches is probably closer by at least a hour from oregon, depending on how you go though. I really was not that impressed with Naches, lots of spread out trails and a few good rock sections that will probably be wet and possibly snowy at the tops now. Reiter has a great number of trails that range from stock vehicles to buggy only. I would rank Rhinoland as the top trail in the state from what I have seen, (Evans, Walker, Reiter, Naches)
