What a long drive that was! Rich and I drove 13 hours straight through to get home tonight.

Congratulations to Rich for winning Third Prize for the Cleanest Rig at the Show and Shine. He'll blame it on me because he got a small dent in his rocker panel while I was spotting him on Steel Bender.

Here he is avoiding the mud puddle at the bottom of Baby Lion's Back because he didn't want to get dirty.

And Rick and Bonnie did a great job with the Friday night dinner. Quite a few SoCal people had winning tickets in the raffle. Josh, Rich, Rick, JohnX, Curt, Brendan, and I won some prizes. None of the big ticket stuff though. :D

All in all, it was a great week.

Glad you had fun. Now, where are the rest of the pics?

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures myself. Like I always say...I may be Asian, but I don't have the "picture-taking" gene.

But there were a lot of others that took a crapload of pictures. And they should be trickling in in the next couple of days.

It was coming down pretty good last night as I rolled through. Was it sticking to the road yet when you got there?

The snow was crazy!

I will tell you one thing boyz....going the 15 to the 70 route is ALL WRONG!

I will NEVER do that again....take the 40 into Flagstaff......SOOOOO much easier.

Anyway, I'll get some pictures posted in a few.

Yup, we had to stop two times to clear the ice off the windshields and windshield wipers. It got real heavy between Beaver and Cedar City.

Sorry, didn't mean to leave anyone out. :)

Brendan also did a great job with registration during the entire week (along with his assistants).

It seems that every year, there is a weather issue on the 70/15 route home. That's why I always end up taking the southern route through Monument Valley and Flagstaff. That's the way Rich and I came home. It got really windy but no rain.

And we must've counted 20 police vehicles driving through the Navajo Nation.

Vanessa and I just got back here too. 12 hours or so back to Cal's, then 2 hours back to our place. UHG!

So worth it though. Here was my seat for lunch on Thursday (cell phone pic to boot, no pun intended)...

X5, I was like, wait "THIRD place?" Who the hell was 1st and 2nd? They should have a slideshow with the winners going so we could see how bad/good the rigs were for those of us who didn't know what the winners rigs looked like.

Most thrashed was funny. And I knew who was gonna win. It was a clear winner.

We started going south but we turned around before getting out of Moab because of the wind.

Looks like I got out of there in time! I missed the snow only got a little rain leaving Moab. It was cold in Vegas though!

Great meeting everyone and seeing those I knew again.

Caught up with Karstic in Richfield fueling up at the Flying J. We caravaned back as far as the Virgin River Gorge where Steve and Sonia spent the night. Michaelle and I continued on home to Vegas. Snowed much of the way along the I-70 from mile marker 68 or so.

This is Michaelle who had never in her life been in falling snow. Think she looks happy?

This was the second time that Steve and I needed to stop for a windshield wiper intervention. That's solid ice packed on those blades.

I'll second that. 191 south out of town, went through Keyenta, Tuba City, Flagstaff, I17 South to Phoenix and then 85 to I8 and home. Gas was 3.11 in Phoenix. It was quicker than sitting in Vegas traffic. :)

Me, too. I now have Rufstuff diff covers courtesy of giveaways and raffles.

I've got to figure out how to get the frame stiffners on around the dpg belly pan, aj rock rails and RE drop brackets. Also, does anyone know if I'll have to do anything to put the pc1200 battery in? Haven't compared the height yet, I'm thinking the stock retainer may work if the height is close.

Not sure about the belly pan, but the stiffeners slid right under the DB braces and I welded the RR legs directly to the frame rail, forms the base of the cage.
