some kits come with heat sheilds, i doubt you could buy one seperate.
make one with a material of your choice and common sense. a snorkle or some type of forced air(ram air) is a way to get true cold air intake. some have routed an intake using the air from the cowl. search is your friend
another option is hood vents to lower the engine bay temps.
Do like I did, move your filter to the Cowl. It serves as a snorkel and cold air intake! It saved my Jeep's a** this weekend when I swamped it and had I still had the stock intake, I'd be hydrolocked!
