Since i dont have the money to buy a full Bumper& tire carrier set up i decided to make a Hitch mounted tire carrier that i could still mount my HiLift and Gas cans on. the first thing was i needed to be able to open the Hatch so i have a pivot on the bottom that would lock in place.

so the first thing i did was take some measurements and then i put everything into a 3D program and i came out with this:

What are you going to do about the rattle(back and forth, up and down motion) were it goes into the reciver? Do i make sence?

some one else gave me this idea " cut the tube at an angle leave both pieces with a long bolt coming out to draw the angled pieces against each other and make it tight in the reciever so its more solid. this will let you mount it closer to the body too since it wont move around as much. "

and also before i start selling them i'm going to THOROUGHLY test it aha :D

and for the top im just using going to weld a nut on the 2" tube and have a Bolt that as it goes down tightens:
heres a better render of it:

I have the Ultimate MX Hauler and, among the optional accessories, they offer a hitch pinning device...may be of some use.

It pins the Hauler into the receiver using downward pressure. It fits more tightly around the Hauler end as well...

i would recommend lowering the jerry can mounts. with a tire on there in the current position, that thing will be incredibly wide or stick out really far since the cans would have to be next to or behind the tire. putting them below the tire would make it more compact. just my .02

hey sorry. i have Responded to you guys but the Mods keep deleting my stuff... but anyways im thinking about moving the cans to the side when i get to that part so i can move the whole thing closer to the hatch. and i didnt make any headway because my teacher kinda ruined yesterday for me and didn't cut anything out after he said he would.

As I told you before, it is against the rules to solicit business within chapter forum. You have admitted that you posted here with advertising in mind and I have explained that it's a no no. I have let this thread run after it was cleaned up a bit but it seems that it keeps drifting back to advertising over and over again.

On that note, this thread is being locked.
