Threw a code..

After i swapped out my AW4 for a AX-15, my check engine light came on. The code says its a trans problem, And i was told that the a XJ with AW4 computer will not work with AX-15. Has anyone else have thise problem? I did not swap the computer. Am i going to have to? thanks.

What was the check engine code? Is there a code for "Hay fool, somebody stole your transmission!"

I'm assuming it's a 1996 from your sig. Starting in 1996, the OBDII engine computer (PCM) will set the check engine lite if the tranny computer reports a problem, or if the tranny computer doesn't respond. The fix is to swap in the engine computer from a manual 1996 XJ. Did you remove the tranny computer, btw?
