View Full Version : Show & Shine at Swanny City Park 10/9/08 5PM

The show & shine will take place on Thursday October 9th beginning at 5:00 PM. The show will be held at Swanny City Park, which is one block west of Hwy 191 (N Main St) in Moab.

CRAWL Magazine is providing the dinner, which will be hot-dogs, brats, and hot-links. Volunteers to help cook and serve are needed... please PM me or post up if you are willing & able to help out.

Entries will be judged on several criteria, including quality of build/workmanship, creativity, attention to detail, and more. Vehicles will be assessed, and awards will be given for first through third place in the following categories:

Best Built
Best Equipped
Cleanest

In addition, there will be one award for the Junkiest Rig.

These awards will be presented at the Friday night dinner in conjunction with the raffle and XJ Giveaway drawings at the Grand Center, 182 N 500 W, in Moab.

There will be no charge to enter your Jeep in the Show and Shine. At the 20th anniversary event there were approx 160 rigs entered. I am hoping we can top that number this time.

Yeah, we really do need a few more categories.

Longest tow back to town.
'Should have done more maintenance' award.
Broken C-clip award.
Most plugs in a tire that is not a spare.
'You know there are torque spects?' award.
and my favorite
"Damn, you got a hot co-pilot' award!!

Comedy is good, but clean can be comedy too, we hooted and hollered and generally directed a friendly ribbing at the shiny rig winners last anniversary ;)

Those are the guys on the scenic run. I'm parking next to Rick since Remi isn't going to be there, it'll make my junk look like it came off the showroom floor. :)

The metal on mine is starting to sepreate from the plaque at the bottom. Guess I will have to find a way to fix it. Still I am glad to have it.

The winners are all in there... I was surprised at how many people I spotted browsing through this photo. Ranger Rick's XJ is there too. :)
