RE Drop Bracket/Cross Member Help

There are two studs and two bolts holding the cross member on and I can't get the stud to come all the way out. I have it all the way unthreaded but now it's just sitting there spinning. Is there a nut in the frame rail or is it threaded?

On Yucca-Man's site he stated "Resist the urge to whack the nut and stud up into the frame since you'll need the nut again to bolt the t-case drop."

I'm running an SYE so no drop here and RE supplied 4 bolts to replace the 2 studs and existing bolts but I don't want to cut off and drill out the bolt if that's only digging a deeper hole.

Actually figured it out the stud has a lip thing on it that prevents it from dropping out.

Drill a small hole (5/16" max) right beside the nutsert and tack weld it in place through the hole.
