Went to PAP to get a new headliner and e-brake today, found some great stuff, wish I had brought more tools!

2 AMC Style rear tire carriers.. complete!

There was an XJ that was pre-runnered out (the one I got my parts from). Had a pretty nice looking tube bumper up front with a skid plate... welded straight to the unibody rails though. Some tube style rock sliders as well. Also had racing seats, and some really old-school style resi shocks (only 1 left) Suspension looked like it may have been slightly lifted using jy components. It had a tweed headliner, but thats in my Jeep now.

I'm debating going back to get a tire carrier tomorrow.

No harnesses. The driver one was gone already.

I'm debating going back tomorrow to get a tire carrier.. is a stock one worth picking up "for now"?

I've heard you can carry up to a 33" tire with a stock carrier with a little reinforcement. Last time I saw one in the JY, it was already pretty trashed and bent, so I didn't look at how it went together. I guess there are some reinforced brackets in the bumper.

If you do go back, if you could pull one for me I'll pay you for it, give you the JKS shock conversion, beverage of your choice, and/or anything else you might deem a fair trade... I want to get the spare out of the back, I REALLY want a Detours Slimline, but damn those are expensive. One of these should hold me over until I figure out what the ??? is and progress to the Profit! stage.

id stay away from the OEM tire carriers. The ones that mount to the side can get hit by trees/rocks and can rip out. Plus arent very strong.
