Places to wheel around Raleigh?

Hey I was wondering if anyone knows of places to wheel in or around Raleigh? I am talking no more than 30 mins away. Let me know.

How technical is Uwharrie? What level of trails? What type of mods are necessary?

well i meant other than uwharrie...

No legal wheeling any further east than uwharrie that I know of...

If you know how to drive halfway decently, and it's dry, you can run every trail in Uwharrie with a stock XJ, open diffs, on P225/75 street treads, with both swaybars hooked up.

Actually there is a nother place I have heard about but never been to. I think it is a NF too. Do not remember the name but it is over near Fayetville. I'll see what I can find out.

Last I heard, Croatan NF closed most of their OHV trails (if that's the one you were thinking of) Mostly mud holes anyow
