sorry but nobody ever looks at the other tech page so i'll ask here because nobody on pirate goes on the dodge forum

doin upa little side project, 1990 dodge d350 with half ton axles, 44 and 9.25, question is are they the same width as a 2000 dodge ram with the same axles (just different side front diffs)? because i was planning on buying a buddies axles off a 2000 1500 that are already built, just wanted to switch the front internals.

Try Gen4x4 on Pirate if you need a quick answer.

If its a W350 (D means 2wd, W means 4x4) it should have a DANA 60 front and a DANA 60 or 70 rear. So, if it has a Dana 44 front and a 9.25 rear, it either isn't a W350 or someone swapped axles from a half ton onto it. The gear ratios are probably 3.23 or maybe 3.55 unless someone has swapped gears.

For an answer to your question on whether the 2000 axles are the same as a 1990's go to www.ramchargercentral.com and ask it there. I don't think they are the same but the guys there will know for sure. I am a member there also with the same screen name.
