does anybody know if TSF is closed or more specifically browns Camp due to fire danger? if so do you know how long it will last?

TSF has most if not all trials closed due to fire danger.

what will it take for them to re-open the trails? or is there a time period?

Once the summer temps drop and some moisture falls, they should open it back up.
Wheelin wouldn't be fun if the forest burnt down!

re-opens wednesday at 1:00am
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your help in mitigating fire danger over the past few days during the Industrial Precaution Level 3 closure period by observing the trail closure and keeping OHV activity to the maintained gravel roads in the OHV recreation areas. Luckily, the weather patterns are changing and that allows us to re-instate the OHV Trail Use Waiver. (Campfires remain restricted to developed campgrounds and signed designated dispersed campsites with ODF installed metal fire grates.)
Effective, Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 01:00 AM the Industrial Precaution Level will drop back down to a Level 2 allowing the OHV Trails in the Tillamook State Forest Browns Camp, Diamond Mill, Jordan Creek, Trask and the BLM managed Nestucca riding areas to re-OPEN to public use.
