Nominations will start Oct 15 with voting to start on Nov 1st.

Offices are Pres, VP & Sec.

Must talk to the nominee before you nominate them & they must be NAXJA members for at least one year to be nominated.

Its a 2 year term

I would be interested in knowing the full extent of the duties also and how much time the current BOD puts into related activities.

I'll let the Pres take this one. But some of the duties are to organise the events.

I thought I remember seeing a list of all the requirements to be eligible for the positions and a list of the duties or each office. Are these posted anywhere? I've not been able to find them.

I think that was for the National BOD.

I did some searching but did not find anything on chapter positions.

Okay...the BOD has to run the chapter...get runs & meet & greets together & organize the Crawl. The Crawl is getting people to do things & the raffle group meal.

Chapter Swag & other things the chapter may want to do.

What are the requirement regarding membership. Don't you need to be a paying (red name) NAXJA member for 1 year before being eligible for the position?

Yes you must be a member in good standing to be eligible & only members can nominate & vote.

We have 151 SEC Members of those 83 are eligible to run for the Chapter BOD i can't really say out of those 83 how many are active members...

Sorry, I didnt see it. Out of about 10 forums i'm on including being a moderator this forum continues to be one of the hardest to navigate and find anything on. :patriot:

We have 151 SEC Members of those 83 are eligible to run for the Chapter BOD i can't really say out of those 83 how many are active members...

I just ran through the SEC membership list and found 54 members who are eligible for the positions. That is looking at people who became red paying NAXJA members prior to Nov 31, 2008. It is also dropping those who are still on the roster but their membership has run out. A big portion of the current SEC membership are less than 1 year members.

We need people who want these positions to get them, but finding them is the hard part. Other Chapters are asking people to post up if they are willing to accept the positions.

Sorry to beat a dead horse here but we are slowly running out of time to get our nominations in.

I agree with Ed here...

Those who wish to run for an office that have less than a year in please post up...I know a couple that will have right at 11 month in on Jan 1st & they would make good officers.

I have proposed a solution in the BOD forum. I would be more then happy to continue to help out in the SE Chapter. I have only been on the bod 1 2 year term. I'm still a newb. I think Ed would be a fine pres. He really stepped up and helped out a lot with the Crawl this year. We do however need for those that are willing to help to post up and let us know who you are.

I would like to help the SEC in any way I can. I became a NAXJA member on 1/28/08. If this will allow me to help the chapter, I will. If I need to wait another year, that is fine also.
