That's just a little one and they're not much worse than a bad bee sting. That thing is only a few inches long. Wait until you stumble upon an 8" long black one. That'll throw you into shit fits.
Nice find. All I had bugging me this weekend while wrenching was a yellowjacket that got his ass owned by brake kleen. :repair: :passgas:

Hypothetically, if you microwave those, they dont smell very good....
Also if you freeze them, they dont come back to life. And the microwave didnt wake them up either.

Again, I would scream like a 12 year old girl, jump up, hit my head on the jeep, and then scream again.

There's no way unless your shocks are 6' long. You sound like my 7yo daughter describing a spider. :D:D:D

That's a pretty big one, but they don't sting too bad. about half way between a fire ant and wasp. I've been stung several times.

Your right, it was about 4" and 1.5" wide.. But hey when you get this thing crawling on yourself, i don't take time to get the size.. :eyes: This is as largest we have found here..

holy crap that one is pretty damn big!! I've been finding those all over my pasture, but not nearly that big.
Kind of reminds me of the being in a bath towel, working on the sink with a kitten in the house joke....

We have a breed of them here in Ut that will kill you. They are little itty bitty things and they are yellow, but almost clear.

yeah the big black ones " emperors" dont sting to bad, the smaller yellow, pink and clear-ish ones are more poisonous

Ditto, don't mind most insects but that shock would have had a few large pavement related dents in it if that thing was found anywere near me or Dad while working on one of our trucks:shiver:
