Its already friggin' hot out here in the dez.
Got up at 5am to get some work done on the dune buggie and by nine it was gettin' kinda hot. Came inside to take a break. Just went outside and I swear its 110* outside right now.
Isn't it September?

:flame:

Maybe I need to start around 3am....

Tell me about it. I'm near Disneyland. Need to install a new exhaust manifold and turbocharger on the Volvo today, and it's completely immobile and in the driveway (direct sunlight). No EZ-Up and no way to move the car into the garage. This is gonna SUCK.

I'm way inland from you, and it's way too hot to play with it.

Got a lot of things I should be doing in the garage. Like cleaning up the mess I left all over the work bench from the last project, and making room for the new toy, er tool. But noooo. :firedevil:

oh, and no, the furniture mover is not my welding cart, it's the thing they used at the place where I bought it to get it out of the back and out to my car.

I'll show you my model if you show me yours.

It was just where I happen to be standing in the shop I bought it at with my cell phone. Plus, I like to leave a few things up to mystery.

I wish. But the only outlet for that would be the washing machine, and it's not in a good spot. I'd have to get a 220V outlet wired up in a place I'm not gonna be staying at for that long. Plus the welder would have cost me a lot more.

S7 was right. It's a 135.

Bring it up to my place. I have a 40 amp 110V outlet in my garage. I also have 220 for other stuff.

110* where you are, here it hit 115*.
I don't ever recall it getting that hot in September.
But all is not lost, we could see double digit highs by Wednesday with a low of 72.
That is more to my liking!

Weather Underground said it was 110 degrees at 2 PM yesterday outside my office at the top of the Cajon Pass. Forecast looks better after today. Normally Oak Hills is 10 degrees cooler than Victorville. My shop has heat and air but the Jeep garage does not....YET!

Since I moved to the desert I have come to the belief that complaining about the weather is pathetic, but....... it IS damn hot for September.

Check out Weather.com for the mid-week forecast, it looks real good!

S7 was right. It's a 135.I stand corrected then, it must be an older model because all the 135s I've seen are alot more compact (same size as my Hobart......which is now made by Miller) :dunno: ---------Hans

Thank goodness for the marine layer this morning! Got started at 8 and it was practically drizzling in Garden Grove! Stayed cool for the 90 mins or so it took me to finish my Volvo, then the haze burned off. Still not quite as hot today as it's been lately. :)

I have a portable swamp cooler in there, but trying to cool 1500sf with a 14' ceiling has proved futile!
