I've been a hardcore fan since they came out with their first stuff. I love their no boundries rock perspective. It's great when every musician in the band just plays so great together. Their new album "Revalations" is great stuff but I don't think it lives up to their other stuff. I love the funky style thats so obvious in this one.

I didn't like the politics of rage, also wasn't a fan of the vocal style.

the rest of Rage definitely has amazing musical ability, but without the passion of Zach de la Rocha it just isn't the same.

My wife has an iPod, but I'm not big into electronic gadgets.
Within St Louis metro its Missouri... everywhere else its Missoura. I'm not from around here though, and I don't bother to imitate the accent. One curious thing I have noticed, is that words such as "forty" are pronounced "farty." So Interstate forty-four that runs through the area is known as "farty-far." It makes me laugh more often than not.

First time I ever saw a moshpit was at a DRI show in Calgary in about 1988. From then on, every punk/hardcore band I saw if there wasn't one already, we started one...

Who, you and the girls? That sounds awfully dangerous, akin to the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain.

Just recently got into them, and I gotta say that theyre one of my favorite bands. I like the intensity of the musical section (Especially Tom Morello) Vs. Chris Cornell's voice. IMO, one of the best acts that emerged after the new Millenium, that and Velvet Revolver ;)

Audioslave's 1st cd was good, their second one sounded like it was the same song playing over again, you couldn't distinquish between tracks.

Yeah i love audioslave! Revaltions was kinda soft compared to the others especially thier 1st CD! Damn someone dug up a 2 year old thread! Is someone bored? Can you really go wrong with Chris Cornell and Tom Morello in the same band? I think Not!:D

My first real concert: Seether opening for Audioslave in 2005. An amazing show. Sean and Chris doing "fell on black days" acoustic. I wish I could find a good recording of that song.

I mean Chris cornell is a bad ass singer and don't get me started on tom morello. That guy can play a mean guitar. One of the best IMO!

I think Audioslave is done at this point. I heard that Rage was reforming. And Cornell is now solo.
I liked Audioslave but not as much as Soundgarden. Never got into RATM at all.

i didn't really get into rage until a couple years ago. Soundgarden was great too. Cornel's solo stuff is kinda weird an so is Tom Morello's Nightwatchman stuff.
I'm pretty sure audioslave is finito!

I saw RATM last year at rock the bells in NY and at Vegoose--doesn't get much better than that. You want to talk about mosh pits. . .those were the craziest by far. I'm a door stapher(bouncer has a negative connotation) and an audio engineer at the 9:30 club in DC, btw, so I get paid to hang out in mosh pits alot.

Audioslave is Def my fav band. To most who listen casually I see how it may sound repetitive but each song is quite different. They do have a funky sound thanks to Tom and and Chris brought a bluesy sound to the table, I enjoy that Tom throws a cool solo in each song. Revalations was my least favorite but still good, it ashame that they together anymore. I don't really like Chris' new stuff.

I mean Chris cornell is a bad ass singer and don't get me started on tom morello. That guy can play a mean guitar. One of the best IMO! I know what you mean about Morello. I remember listening to Out of Exile the song and thinking damn, Tom did it again with the solo. Truly innovative. And when I first heard Gasoline, I though it sounded reminiscient of Jimi Hendrix. And the solo from Doesnt Remind me is one of his best I'd say. My favorite Audioslave song is Be Yourself with Show me how to live as a close second.
