Ok I put some video on my computer with the Win TV converter. What type of program do I need to look for to edit it?

Question is not quite vague enough. :D

You didn't get anything to edit with the WinTV device? I've made a couple of DVDs with the stuff that came with mine...

You need to find out where it put the file or files [shows] you recorded. Then look at the extensions. Best guess is windows media player, that plays almost anything. It might be an .mpg or .avi extension. Thats a quick short answer, there might be more involved but I don't think so.
On my media center PC I have a seprate 400 gig hard drive for each tuner.

I think the Wintv software is able to edit and piece together video. I was jsut wondering if there was anything out there that was like infraview. That is a nice photo program that is free.

You are talking video editing now, way different animal from a jpg or gif file. Now if you want to remove the commercials and end up with one solid program I would suggest VideoReDo Plus, about $70 but dead simple to use.
Microsoft itself has windows 'Movie maker' and if your version of windows does not have it you can download it from microsoft.
