New AC Manifold gauges... need some pointers.

I just got my AC Manifold Gauge Kit last night f/ Harbor Freight.

I have seen a website before (but can't find the link) that shows someone testing their Jeep (believe it was a Wrangler) AC System and the pressures and so forth.

The thing that confuses me on this gauge kit, there are 3 lines, High, Low and then the yellow/middle line. I thought that you were suppose to use the yellow/middle line to attach to a Freon/R134a can to add coolant, but the directions don't show that.

Does anyone know the proper steps for checking and adding coolant? Any ideas are appreciated.

thanks XJing ... I've been looking over there for a while... SO much information.

I am going to see if I can't find that Jeep specific post someone made a while back. It was really nice to see the DIY mechanic working on a Jeep w/a similar 'problem' I'm having. :)

left is low right is high and middle is discharge recharge hose.

but the right and left hoses may be different
