Removing Seats

Im trying to take out thge driver and pass buckets to remove the carpeting in the 85. The Jeep has no power at all cuz it doesnt work, the seats are power seats and are positioned to far back to get to the rear bolts...how can i move the seats to get to them?

Could you just splice 2 wires, one positive and one negative, directly to the battery, at least temporarily and then use the electric motor to move the seat where you need it? I'm not familiar with the electric seats so I don't know if there's some bypass to move the seats without the power.

The seats have to get power through wires. Find the wires and the nearest connector, then jumper that directly to a battery.
