problem w/overhead console temp sensor

I recently had some front end "issues" (had to replace the grille, grille surround & radiator), and when I got everything back together, my handy overhead console thermometer just says "OC." What's up with that? What's it mean? How do I fix it?

The compass works fine, but I understand the electronics for that are built into the console itself, whereas the temp sensor is behind the grille/bumper.

you unplugged the temp sensor. its in the middle right behind the bumper. but a little higher. it looks like a tube with a 2 prong plug with a mount with two ears.
