I think it was a new episode, but I'm not sure (YJ build)...
They actually ordered a front D60 from Currie and bolted their old D30 knuckles and brakes to it! http://www.slicky.net/smilies/roflwtf.gif

Be careful. They lurk here. Do a search on "CHEEP JEEP" and you'll see. :D

Ya... I think it was a repeat.
Anyway I did see that. I have NO idea why anyone you do such a thing. I know it is possible and you might save a little cash, but WHY? :twak:
I know someone from the show might read this and hopefully they will and make some changes.
I USED to watch the show religiously, but I can't stand it anymore. It is all bolt ons and really really dumb choices like the D60/D30 hybrid or the super short bumper mounts they made on the XJ build. Honestly now I think I'll watch a whole 5min of the episode as I find myself skipping most of it with the "forward" button on my remote.
Oh well. Who needs TV anyway? I'd rather be wrenching in the garage!

Yeah, WTF. No one around here would do something halfass to save a few bucks til next pay day, or knowing they wouldn't be too hard on it until it was upgraded...

I agree. Trucks has gone down hill very fast. I used to never miss an episode when Stacey David was on it. No disrespect to the current hosts but they just don't have the skill level that Stacey had and it shows in their choice of projects.

as advanced as the old hosts skills were, I wonder how much input the hosts have on the projects they work on?
I was in awe of the D60 with D30 knuckles... still no idea why you'd do that... but hey, maybe an answer will come of it.

What are they going to use in the back? a D35 with alloy shafts slapped in it and no trussing/welding/or a beefy cover?
I didn't see the show, maybe they used a nicer axle, if so can ya fill me in, I work on saturdays.

I actually like Ryan and the other guy the best so far... their personalities I mean... I don't know if they should be blamed for tech or topics.

Maybe they had a pile of spare knuckles and didn't want to waste them?

:D
   Yeah, whatever happened to the little guy, Butch or Buzz or whatever his name was. He was the only one with a clue. The Duplicolor show was just one looong commercial.
I used to watch some show on diy with a guy named Bonebrake (sp?). He was actually a pretty good shadetree mechanic. Hey, that'd be a good name for a show!

I don't watch the speed channel, I don't know if its just me, but the sound drops in and out to much, I find it damned annoying.
