I hate the little fawkers! Im changing the oil in the jeep and getting ate alive. They were bad last year as well, thought maybe this year would be different. Ive made sure there is no standing water in my yard, have citronella candles and torches on the deck. What else can a man do?

i used to sell something similar when i worked at a garden center....there is a bigger better one than this link ( http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_07187180000P ) but i dont remember then name...they work like a charm! Ive seen one on a mini golf course down by the river over here and one season we stopped going b/c they were so bad, next season these things show up and we didnt get bit once.

start wearing repellents, they work pretty good. if you really want to get serious about it you can buy one of these http://www.consumersearch.com/www/lawn_and_garden/mosquito-traps/ they work VERY well.

Try vanilla extract. Put it on like you would any other repellent. I know it sounds weird, that was my reaction too. Works though. Trick from a buddies dad who drove trains in South Dakota. Smells better than OFF too.

easier, and more fun too-- take a couple shots of the booze du jour. I know back in my drinkin' days, I never got eaten alive, but once I quit swilling like a college freshman, they're all over me.

ever herd of a thermacell they work good but not for big areas i use one hunting and never get bit and when fishing the small bottles they sell at walmart of repel i use the kind thats 100% DEET works great but dont get it on your lips it makes them numb or on glasses it eats them up.

skin so soft works, from that company that hands out pink caddys to their sales reps. Normally bugs don't like me but at Fr Drum they were so thick they sounded like rain hitting my poncho and gas mask on the op at nite. Used to go to mopp4 on those nite fire missions.

The little bastards are fierce this year. In addition to record rainfall this year, here in Vermont we're suffering from a mysterious bat die-off. Now in past years, this place has been swarming with bats, and largely mosquito free, but the skeeters are taking advantage of the situation. Worst I've seen in a long long time.

Tear gas works wonders too, we'd pop 2 or 4 upwind from our tents about an hour before dark, got rid of the flyers, crawlers and racoons.

I didnt know deet would tear glasses up. Been catfishing a lot this year and using the 100% deet spray, i bet i got it on my glasses cause the lenses look like the coating is coming off. Im going to wait til next year and get the trap, going to be too cold for the little buggers soon.

I'm another Avon skin-so-soft guy.

It actually says bug repellent on the label now.

I bought one of those cheap canopies w/zip up nets. Only put it up to work on jeep, but it's so cheap it gets hotter and also have to use a fan. No bugs!

Wouldn't you be pissed if someone put bunny ears on you and grabbed a camera?
