hey everybody,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading this forum for a little while, and just thought it was bout time to tell everyone who I am and to show you my xj.
I have a 1998 cheorkee sport, i got it stock and 2years later (yea i know, took me a little while) I finaly get a 3 inch lift and some 31 x 10.50's. Other mods and dodads that I have installed include gps, bosch plugs, stock cruise control (my xj didnt come w/it), the lift, sub, amp and an alpine head, cold air intake. soon to come is a cb, tj flares, front bumper, roof rack, and lights.
I live in greenville, nc. I'll try to make it to the next chapter event if everything holds together. BTW I love the OBX trip for '07and i'm actually trying to go this weekend, so if anyone wants to get together and go this weekend let me know, right now it's just two xj's so just hit me up.
so anyways here's my rig.

Hey now! Those wheels were cheap! Only cost me two spray cans of black and one can of clear! I've got me a bent rear bumper. The lights up front are the $20 AutoZone special.

Renegade, what size tires on stock?
Also mine is stock and a DD right now so hard to find wonderful places to take it that doesn't involve monster rocks. Any good places in NC (I am in Raleigh) to take a stock and at least get it dirty. WOuld love to take it somewhere with non paved roads that may also offer a little camping.

I'm running 235/75/15's on stock suspension. You could probably run 30x9.50's (depending on if your suspension is sagging) but you'll probably rub a good bit off-road. If you don't mine trimming, yea, you could probably go up to a 31x10.50, you'll just be rubbing your LCA's if you're still on stock BS wheels.

yea i rub on my lowers, but it's only when i turn all the way
it's time for some back spacing

Try zj lower control arms. They have a bend in them that will allow bigger tires on an xj.

Here's a pic of them. I don't know if they will give you enough clearance, but it's worth a try.
