I'm starting on my cage in a couple of weeks, yes I'll take pics. I've got it all worked out design wise (thanks to pics on this site) except one thing. I'm running a single tube down each side where the headliner meets the plastic trim from the d pillar through the dashboard. It will connect down to the floor and across at every pillar. Also at every pillar I'll be going straight up through the roof for a halo.
Here's the question, how do you seal the tube to the roof? I know on a full frame vehicle you'd have to alow flex there, but on an xj would it be ok to weld it? The truck has 3/16 plate on the frame from the rear spring hanger to the front shocks and sliders so there isn't much flex.
