While driving around today and notice a Red VR Rado at this kids house. dusty. dirty. sexy. asked if he'd sell and he said yup, $2k for a 93 rado VR with 120k on the clock...

Now... If I really do this, I'll have to sell my XJ...

How many of you guys out there own or have owned a Rado?
If you dont have one and did before, why did you sell it?
This would be my 4th Rado if I bought it.

I'm a big fan, espically of the VR6!!! I don't know about selling my Jeep for it though. With that nice powerful engine you'll probably end up getting worse full economy, ha ha. Screw it just buy it AND keep the Jeep.

I'd keep the jeep.

with 120k on the clock, that rado needs the timing chain guides replaced (their life span is 100k miles) if they haven't been. common problem with the VR6

I'd rather have it with the G60 to be honest.

check all electronics and be sure they work, especially the rear fin. if more than one thing is wrong with it, pass it up. when corrado's have something small wrong electronically, it spreads like a disease.

and yes, I've had one. totalled it hitting two dear and the vr6 from it lives on today in an 87 cabriolet

I'm currently the "owner" of 2 G60s. One's for sale, and the other I haven't seen in 2 months. There are usually guys selling VRs left and right on SoCalCorrado.com or VWVortex. I was a huge fan until I became the owner of mine. Maybe I just got lucky and inherited problems, maybe I'm just negative. Either way, I will not be owning one again....
