I am in need of some help and was wondering if you have to take off the front clip to get to the bolts that hold the front of the fender on, or can you take the headlight out and get to the bolts from there?

Sorry but the whole front clip has to come off. It's really not that much of a PITA though. The grill and bezels come off with about 14 screws. Then there's the bolts under the hood (10mm?) that hold the clip on and 2 on each side after the headlights come off. Then you gain access to those boogers that hold the front part of the fender on. Hope that helps ya man.

i don't think i took the whole clip off i think i just loosened it enough to slip the ratchet by. but i don't remember. all i do remember is that i broke a head light in the process.

you don't need to take it off, get a wrench on both sides and undo them

Yup, there should be 4 torx (don't remember size off the top of my head) along the top, you need to undo the hood latch as well on the end closest towards you'rself. I believe 8 screws holding on the grille into the header pannel, then there will be 4 screws holding the bezel on the l/r end of the header pannel. Then you must remove the head lights. A tip for that is to use an electric screw driver or drill because they are loooong. There will be one more bolt that is a PITA to get off, which I allways get by removing the bumper (you will thank yourself). The fender removal is pretty self explanitory from there.

disconnect the battery, ive taken the clip off a bunch of times, and the first couple times when i didnt, when i disconnected the headlights i must have done something cause ones gone out both times. so ive just disconnected the battery the last 4 times or so, and so far so good.
