Anybody in here buy the factory spec replacement leaf springs from JC Whitney? Just wondering if they are any good?

Sounds like nobody has tried these. What other companies make them and are they any good?

I just got their heavy-duty springs, actually a few bucks less than J.C.
I was able to re-use my old bushings, but for the work involved, I would now recommend buying new ones. I also added 1" lift shackles, and spacers above the front springs. Just enough to look better than stock.
If you can find a good set of springs at a "you-pull-it", that is cheapest way to go. I did that once, but I didn't know how old they were, and they started sagging soon after.

Do the heavy-duty springs lift the vehicle at all? I think mine has the heavy duty ones because it has the tow package. Did the new springs you got have an arch? Was there still an arch in them after installing them in the Jeep? Mine look flat on my vehicle. Maybe thats normal but I really don't know because I bought it with 110,000 miles on it several weeks ago.

I don't think the springs themselves actually contribute to the lift. They looked about the same arch as the old ones laying side by side on the ground. However, installed on vehicle, they still hold a pretty decent arch. Like yours, my old ones were also flat on the vehicle.
The H-Ds are very stiff, you can feel it if you hit a bump while in a turn. The back end will kick out a little. The main reason I got them is my son has some big friends, and I didn't like the way the Jeep sat when they were all in there....

Do you think I should go with the regular springs instead of the HD ones? I'm not going to do any towing or hauling any heavy stuff. I think the HD ones will hold up better though. What exactly is the difference? I suppose the HD ones have thicker leafs because it says both have four leafs.

I really couldn't see the difference between the old and new, but then again I think the old ones may have also been H-D. I know they were not original, which by the way made removal much easier than some of the horror storys I've read here about removing 15+ year old springs.
Anyway, I got the H-Ds based on no reserch at all, just like you said hoping they will "hold up better" , and I think the price was the same. I guess other than that, it's a matter of choice of ride quality. The XJ is no Caddy to begin with, so with the H-Ds you just have to hold on to your coffee a little tighter....
Hope this helps. Planning on doing it yourself? Check some other threads here for tips to make it easier. Good luck!

HD leafs don't really have thicker springs. The difference is the #2 leaf goes almost all the way to the "eyes" on the main leaf, whereas the standard ones do not.

Bringin it back, because my rear leafs are inverted, and I'm looking for a good set of oem replacement leafs and shocks. I dont want to lift it. I like the height of it right now.

Should I go with JC Whitney for these or Advanced Auto?
