I'm getting ready to install my 4.5" lift upgrade and Bilstein 5150 shocks this weekend, I am a bit concerned about shock length. I am going to install 10" travel 5150s in the front, and I was planning on using the JKS upper conversion and lower BPEs. That's going to effectively make my shock 1.6" longer, and I'm a concerned that I'll be a bit short on uptravel.
So my crazy idea was to mount the JKS BPE on the bottom side of the mounting point, and pass the shock bushing and eye through the top. Has anyone tried this or have any insight?
If I end up with shocks that are too long I can just buy the Bilstein upper stud mount, but if I can make the JKS stuff work with adequate uptravel, I would love to have the extra droop.
Thanks!
