When did XJ's start using R134a?

I have searched long and hard and can't seem to find when R134a was cut in to XJ production. I am thinking 1995 from all I have read, but does anyone have a definite answer.
 
I don't think it was jeeps as much as 134a was made into the industry standard. If that's correct you could track down when mopar went to that a/c chems
 
My 94 used to have R12.
