re 5.5 rear leaf bushing replacement

the front bushings are completely shot in mine.there is no rubber left at all.they want(re) 72 bux for new bushings because they say the spring eye is a unique size.has anyone done this any cheaper?i have a lathe and can turn down something bigger if need be.

they have been in for 3.5 yrs

i have searched and called venders for 2 days now and still dont know what the spring eye diameter is.i can turn down a set of standard poly bushings but i wont have access to a lathe at the time i do the swap.does anyone have any info on this spring eye size?re just says ts special and they dont know the size.there is no pic on their site but apparently it is the type that is one pc with the steel sleeve over the whole thing.thanks for any info
