A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REPUBLICAN

Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards.

He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.

All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree-hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards.
Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.

If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn't think he should loose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It's noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

Joe is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dad's; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He drives on nice paved roads that make the trip possible because some dumb liberal fought to have public infrastructure put in place because it allows a modern society to travel, transport it's goods and just function in general.

He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republicans would still be sitting in the dark)

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.

He turns on a radio talk show, the host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good (He doesn't tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day). Joe agrees, "We don't need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."

Because they want to do what all liberals want, to control every aspect of your life from their role in the Government including the running of the oil industry. There's a bright idea.

If that's the kind of Government and country you want, there are plenty in the world to choose from...just look for the unhappiest people on Earth and join them. Let's see...if socialized everything is so wonderful...why the heck are thousands upon thousands trying to get into THIS country every day?! Socialized medicine? Why would anyone be a doctor when their pay and their working conditions be dictated by the Government and guaranteed to be lower than that of the free-market based healthcare system. Why would Canadians, the British, the French, etc. flock to this country when they have a healthcare crisis? Maybe because we DON'T have socialized medicine and our doctors are the best in the world! we When you actually grow up and have to support a family, then you see that your (GOD FORBID) new President and his socialist policies, and those of his equally socialist Vice-President take away even more of your pay to give to useless programs that encourage those who won't work and the illegal crossing of invaders from other countries and give them the same rights as you as a U.S. Citizen and you find that you are no longer able to provide what you should for your family because their programs have sucked your wallet dry....thank a liberal. Keep thinking this way then you'll know who to thank when you end up working for the illegal immigrant who just took away your house.

Go ahead and let your liberals in Congress take away your tax cuts that have proven over time to stimulate a sagging economy. Go ahead and increase taxes on corporations and the wealthy in this country and absolutely guarantee that more businesses move off-shore or close because the cost to do business outweighs their income. Who do you think pays more in taxes, the least among us in wage earners or the most? The more that people spend, the more the economy grows and the more the Government makes in revenue, thus reducing debt and supporting spending on Government programs. The more someone is taxed, the less they have to spend and the more they try to save - which has the total opposite effect on the economy. Simple, proven economics.

Next time you forward something without verifying its accuracy first, cut and paste or make blind statements to justify a flawed way of thinking...look at history and look at the facts. SPAM is SPAM whether posted on a forum or slammed to your email.

Honestly, the best response to that type of ignorant propaganda would have been no response at all but after having that crap beat into my ears from virtually every George Soros funded news outlet and the Moveon.org group because they have the money to buy the media, sometimes you have to say enough is enough.

I'm sure that has an impact, and it certainly makes a GREAT excuse, but I think it more like why pay an American $26 (plus benefits like health insurance, retirement and pensions) when you can pay someone in el Salvador a flat rate of $2 an hour? And if you move your company out of country, why not an import tariff?

Wether or not you or I like it GW has been the president for the last 7.5 years. He's been fiscally irresponsible, and hasn't spoken out loudly enough to counter the people who say "HE LIED to get us there". Bush has been a disappointing president, he had a majority and did nothing with it. He could have sealed the border but did not, He could have fixed some of our problems but instead chose to screw up our education system.

Barak scares the living shiat out of me because

2. He's black and some ignorant redneck may try to kill him, which would spark race riots.( don't misread this as me not liking him because he is black, it is because of the liablility associated with his race, not his race)
3. He is a socailist.
4. when questioned further about anything controversial he has said his answer is "I never said that, what I said was...." when he did indeed say that.
5. He was the member of a radical church.(birds of a feather)
6. He wants to raise my taxes.(repealing the bush tax cuts would affect me, and I make under 50k a year)
7. He wants me to be dependant upon the government for all of my basic needs (healthcare)
8. He is a democrat, and democrats are often associated with environmentalism, who love to take away our access to public lands.

McCain scares me too, don't get me wrong. My choice would have been Romney or Thompson, but living in La. I never get to vote for anyone, Ohio gets to decide who is left on my ballot by the time the primaries get to me. And all that is left for me to do is vote against the bigger moron between the 2 candidates left.

I truly believe that anyone who is living off the system without contributing to the system should not get to determine the direction of that system. Wellfare check= no votey
